Theexhibits include the traditional village and house models in Jeollanam-do, residential life(life in a farming household, building a traditional Korean house), clothing(all about clothing, dyeing fabrics), food(a feast of taste, a kitchen in Jeollanam-do), craftwork(straw art, tools of daily life) and folk culture of Jeollanam-do(religion of house spirits, religion of community spirits).

Residential Life in the Southern Region
The houses in the southern region,which is mostly on the plains, generally have an open and straight single wing house toward the south or southeast because of the relatively warm climate. Bigger houses might have an E or L shape.

Clothing in the Southern Region
The southern region was the biggest producer of cotton and silk cocoons, the materials used for clothing, to such an extent that it was called the home of the three whites (rice, cotton and cocoons) from times long ago. GokseongDolsilna-e, the weaving of hemp cloth, and NajuSaetgolna-e, the weaving of cotton fabric, have been continuing the tradition.
