The Rice Museum was constructed on the grounds of the Agriculture Museum to highlight the importance and
value of rice farming as an experience-focused culture and tourism resource. It opened on June 9, 2014 as an exhibition and experience space focusing on rice.
Rice in the History of Korea
The floorage is 1,728㎡, and the exhibition space is306㎡. The facilities include a Rice Exhibition Hall, 3D Multimedia Room, Rice Cooking Class,
Traditional Café and Food Market(Traditional Wedding Hall and restaurants).

Rice Exhibition Hall
The Rice Exhibition Hall divides the section into Rice History, the Lifecycle of Rice, the Present and Future of Rice and Jeollanam-do, the Land of Life, under the theme “Rice in the History of Korea”.

Special Exhibition Hall
The Special Exhibition Hall is a space for a variety of special exhibitions related to rice under the theme of agriculture including the eco-friendly rice of the southern region, saving life.

Namdo Cooking Class
A variety of cooking classes and learning opportunities for anyone who wants to join, from kids to adults.

3D Multimedia Room
3D Multimedia Room offers a continuous run of the museum-produced documentaries “Rice Kingdom and Golden Field”, “Creation of the Earth” and “The Sun, Mother of the Earth” as a space for viewing 3D images under the theme of rice.

Experience Zone for Virtual Experience of Cultivation
Immersive content through which children can have immersive experience of feeling earth and planting crops.

Interactive Media Wall Content
Constructed to allow visitors to interact with the content based on the planning of unique interactive media wall content on the wall and the floor and the projection mapping using high-resolution projectors.
